If you visit 3DaysOfSwift.com today, you will notice something important immediately.
The platform is currently in alpha.
For some websites, that statement might be accompanied by an apology. For us, it is simply an honest description of where the project is today.
3DaysOfSwift is actively being built, refined, expanded, and improved. New playgrounds are being added. Existing resources are being rewritten. Content is being reviewed, updated, and polished. Parts of the website will continue evolving as we learn more about what developers find useful and where the platform can provide the greatest value.
The alpha label does not mean the project is unfinished.
It means the project is improving in public.
Why Launch During Alpha?
Many software projects remain hidden until every feature feels complete.
The problem with that approach is that software is rarely truly complete.
There is always another feature to build, another design to improve, another bug to fix, or another idea worth exploring. Waiting for perfection often means waiting forever.
We chose a different approach.
Rather than spending years building behind closed doors, we wanted developers to have access to the resources immediately. The playgrounds are already useful. The downloads already work. The interview preparation material already helps developers revisit important Swift concepts. Instead of delaying access while every corner of the platform is polished, we decided it would be more valuable to begin helping developers today and continue improving the platform over time.
This approach also allows the platform to evolve based on real feedback rather than assumptions. Every developer who downloads a playground, explores a topic, or spends time on the site helps shape its future direction.
What Alpha Means For Visitors
Being in alpha means you should expect change.
Some playgrounds will continue receiving updates as explanations improve and new examples are added. New topics will appear as the collection grows.
